BENGALURU: The Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Centre (IN-SPACe), India’s independent nodal agency created to hand-hold and regulate private industry in the space sector has handed out its first two authorisations.
Bengaluru’s Digantara and Hyderabad-based Dhruva Space became the first two private firms to receive authorisation letters late on Friday. The letters were handed over after the DeSSEI conference in Bengaluru.
Both firms will be launching their payloads as part of Isro’s PSLV-C53 mission scheduled for a June 30 launch.
While the main payloads of the mission will be three Singapore satellites as part of Space PSU NewSpace India Limited‘s mission, Digantara and Dhruva will launch their instruments on the PSLV Orbital Experimental Module (POEM) through which Isro proposes to demonstrate the utilisation of the spent upper stage of the launch vehicle as a…
