Centre extends validity of FCRA registration of NGOs | India News

NEW DELHI: The home ministry on Friday announced a further six-month extension in validity of registration certificates issued to NGOs under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA), where such licences were/are due to expire between September 29, 2020 and September 30, 2022 and an application for renewal is submitted to the home ministry before expiry of the validity.
The FCRA registration of all such NGOs will now be valid until March 31, 2023 or till disposal of their application, whichever is earlier. Earlier on June 22, the validity of registration certificates of such NGOs was extended until September 30, 2022.
