Coronavirus: Nepal imposes entry restrictions from March 14

NEW DELHI: Nepal has suspended visa-on-arrival for all foreigners from Saturday (March 14) to April 30, 2020. All foreigners with a prior valid visa for Nepal will have to submit a swab test health test certificate issued maximum seven days before their arrival to Nepal, at immigration of Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).
All foreign nationals entering Nepal from Saturday “are subjected to stay in self quarantine and Nepali nationals including non-resident Nepalis (NRN) are subjected to stay in home quarantine for 14 days from date of arrival,” says an urgent notice issued by Nepal home ministry’s department of immigration.

“Any foreign national, including NRNs, willing to visit Nepal for compelling reason may contact Nepali diplomatic missions abroad,” it says.
