Farmers defer march to Parliament two days before tabling of 3 farms laws repeal bill | India News

NEW DELHI: NEW DELHI: Farmers on Saturday deferred their march to Parliament, which was scheduled for November 29. The march was announced by Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait.
“Samyukt Kisan Morcha has decided to postpone the proposed tractor rally to Parliament on November 29,” farmer leader Darshan Pal Singh said after a meeting.
This comes two days before the Centre is set to introduce a bill in Parliament during the upcoming Winter Session cancelling the three farm laws. The Winter Session of Parliament will commence on November 29 and conclude on December 23.
The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved a bill to repeal the three farm laws which led to protests at various Delhi border points by thousands of farmers for nearly a year.
