Manohar Parrikar holds multiple portfolios and his prolonged absence is reportedly impacting administration. Parrikar met BJP’s core committee and alliance partners on Friday.
Sources say there are chances that Sudin Dhavlikar of the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (an ally of the BJP in Goa) may take charge as the chief minister.
However, Goa Forward Party (another BJP ally) has opposed the move and conveyed it to Manohar Parrikar.
Meanwhile, Deputy Speaker of goa Assembly Michael Lobo told news agency ANI that Parrikar will reach AIIMS around 1 pm and that BJP president Amit Shah and PM Modi are monitoring the situation in Goa.
