Indian shooter Manu Bhaker gets admission in Lady Shri Ram College


Having previously applied to various colleges in Delhi University to pursue her Bachelor’s degree, Commonwealth Games gold medallist and ace Indian shooter Manu Bhaker has finally got admission in Lady Shri Ram College for Women.

She can now pursue the course under the sports quota. As per the university guidelines, athletes and sportspersons who have represented India in competitions recognised and funded by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, will be given direct admission without the sports trial.

The competitions inside this purview are the Olympic Games, World Championship Games, Asian Games, Asian Championships by international sports federations, South Asian Games and Paralympic games by by International Paralympic Committee (IPC). Bhaker won the gold medal at the 2018 CWG, Goldcoast, in 10-m air pistol.

The 17-year-old, who has bagged multiple ISSF World Cup, Commonwealth and Youth Olympic gold medals, has her eyes fixed on the the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
