NEW DELHI: Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) president Chirag Paswan on Tuesday slammed Nitish Kumar for “insulting” the people’s mandate twice “only to be in power at any cost”, saying the Bihar CM dumped BJP even when the saffron party met all his demands and compromised with its policy.
“What humiliation did he face? BJP made him the CM even when his party finished third in last polls. BJP compromised with its policy. He was only looking for an excuse to end the alliance…,” he said.
Dismissing JD(U)’s claim that BJP was trying to do a repeat of Maharashtra, Chirag said these were simply “excuses”.
