NEW DELHI: An AIIMS panel, constituted on the directions of the Supreme Court, has ruled out any error in the treatment provided to late Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa at Apollo hospital in Chennai.
The six-member panel was formed on November 30, 2021 to assist the Justice Arumugasamy Commission, which is probing the causes of her death.
Sources said the panel of doctors led by cardiologist Dr Sandeep Seth reviewed the medical records of Apollo hospital, Chennai. Recordings of radiological investigations were also reviewed.
The AIIMS panel concluded that Jayalalithaa was being treated for diabetes, vertigo, atopic dermatitis (itchy inflammation of the skin), irritable bowel syndrome, hypothyroid and chronic bronchitis prior to hospitalisation.
