Witty & courageous: PM condoles Jethmalani’s death

Stating that he was witty, courageous and never shied away from boldly expressing himself on any subject, Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled the passing away of lawyer Ram Jethmalani. In a series of tweets, the Prime Minister called the former law minister an iconic public figure who made rich contributions both in the Court and Parliament. Home Minister Amit Shah and Vice President Venkaiah Nadu were among the first leaders to pay a visit to Jethmalani’s Delhi home. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, whom Jethmalani defended in a defamation case filed by Arun Jaitely, described him as an institution in himself.
