MANILA, Philippines—Big man Rodney Brondial is heading to San Miguel to beef up an already loaded frontcourt, ending his stint with Alaska.
In an Instagram post, Brondial showed his appreciation to the Aces after playing for the franchise from 2019 through 2021.
“Thank you so much for the wonderful experience, all love,” wrote the 31-year-old forward on Instagram. “All love, God bless us all.”
As per reports, Brondial became an unrestricted free agent after he and Alaska could not agree on a two-year deal that the team offered.
Brondial, the sixth overall pick of the 2014 PBA Draft, will reunite with college coach Leo Austria whom he played for in Adamson University in the UAAP.
The 6-foot-5 big man first played for Barangay Ginebra before getting traded to Barako Bull in 2015.
