MANILA, Philippines—Terrafirma’s Roosevelt Adams declined the team’s extension offer but the Dyip still has the right of first refusal with the shooting guard being a restricted free agent.
Dyip Governor Bobby Rosales, who also serves as the PBA Board’s vice-chairman, said that Adams is free to explore his options but the team can still match any offer other franchises extend to 2019 top overall pick.
“He only claims to have other offers, he’s not a UFA [unrestricted free agent],” said Rosales.
The 6-foot-5 shooter hasn’t completed the seven-year playing tenure in the league that wold make him a full free agent unlike teammate Matt Ganuelas-Rosser, who exercised his UFA rights after his contract expired at the end of 2021.
