GANDHINAGAR: World Health Organisation Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said long-term strategic investments along with government support are crucial to fostering innovation in the field of traditional medicine. He was speaking at the inaugural session of the Global AYUSH Investment and Innovation Summit which began at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar on Wednesday.
Praising India’s strides in the field of AYUSH, the WHO DG said, “India will go to the whole world and the whole world will come to India”. He underlined the need to support the innovation ecosystem for health in general and traditional medicine in particular.
