Two Minors Dead in Fire at Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh Area

    Two children who were rescued from the fire and rushed to the nearby Holy Family hospital were declared brought dead.

    Two minors were killed on Tuesday in a fire that broke out in a four-storey building in South Delhi’s Shaheen bagh area. The prime reason for the fire is believed to be an electrical short circuit. The fire was called in at 1.06 pm.

    Two children who were rescued from the fire and rushed to the nearby Holy Family hospital were declared brought dead. The two children have been identified as Zaid and Aisha. As many as six fire tenders were rushed to the spot.

    Four ambulances were also despatched along with one vehicle from the Department of Delhi Disaster Management Authority. While the first floor of the building in Abul Fazal Enclave in Shaheen Bagh was completely gutted, the fire tenders managed to restrict the fire on the second floor and prevented it from spreading to the third floor.
