NEW DELHI: The winter session of Parliament will commence from December 7 and will continue until December 29, “subject to exigencies of government business”, the Lok Sabha secretariat said on Saturday.
Parliamentary affairs minister Pralhad Joshi, who tweeted the dates, said the session will comprise 17 sittings spread over 23 days.

The short session, which will be conducted soon after dust settles on assembly polls in Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat as well as the municipal polls in Delhi, is expected to see the government move for the introduction and passage of the revised Digital Personal Data Protection Bill.
